Youth A Cappella Experience
Sweet Singing Success!
Last spring, three young choristers experienced a wonderful vocal mentorship with Island Voices Chamber Choir. Henry, Evangeline and Zaphyre had the pleasure of building their musical skills through an a cappella apprenticeship, with the accomplished support of Island Voices.
“I felt excited and inspired by the challenge of singing with adult musicians. I believe this experience advanced my music reading and gave me the opportunity to sing with a really impressive choir—I hope I can do it again.”
⸺ Evangeline (inaugural participant)
This Youth A Cappella Experience (YACE) will be offered again—in the Fall 2024—and provides an affordable opportunity for young people to build their musical skills. A short time-limited commitment and two back-to-back concerts, YACE advocates for musical advancement and supports learning. Island Voices is passionate about supporting high school and extra-curricular music programs, providing opportunity for our young people. Partnerships with music teachers, schools, and ensembles of all types are welcome to bring this unique experience to dedicated young musicians.
